Our Youth director

My name is Jon Valentine. I was born and raised in Gastonia NC. I am a life long member of Piegan ARP church. I graduated from Erskine College in 2014 and have had a calling to youth ministry since my senior year of high school.  I am happily married to my wife Olivia and we have a daughter Lani who are both, in a word, wonderful. Christ is my rock and my family is an anchor.

I believe in relational ministry. Relationships between us as children of God is like that of siblings. We are to act as brothers and sisters. Be involved in each other’s lives but not invasive. So I am here to be a support for students as a brother and friend. It is my goal to connect students to Christ and encourage them to expand their relationship with Him by providing and example of a loving relationship here at Tirzah.

Just to know a bit about me. If you want to “talk shop” with me I am a nerd. So any comic, wrestling, video game or movie I am all ears.  I thoroughly enjoy outdoors. I fish, hike and golf when I can. My office is open to all. I have a strange collection of toys, items and memorabilia from my life to spark conversation. If you want to know more come see me, talk and let’s be friends.
